Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Zanka explains how the match against Leicester City will be tough physically and mentally as the players prepare for their second game in two days.

When speaking to #HTTV after the Club’s 0-0 draw with Burnley, Zanka went into detail about how the coaching staff have prepared the players for this busy spell of fixtures, whilst explaining why it is mentally tougher to prepare for two games in two days.

The defender revealed that Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is someone he has faced on numerous occasions after playing against him in the Champions League last season, whilst also discussing the differences of playing against a striker, who is a target man and someone who likes to get in behind.

On Leicester City Mathias Zanka commented:

“Leicester’s a team that has quality players, especially forward in the pitch, they have real quality players like Mahrex and Vardy among others.

“We have to be ready for that challenge, which can be tougher than maybe other games, but every team in the Premier League has some good players, but these guys have some really special ones.

“It’s not very often in this league that I come up against players that I’ve played against three or four times before, but Jamie Vardy is one of them, so I’ll see if I can take some of that knowledge and use it in my favour.”
