Head Coach David Wagner told #HTTV that Town’s offensive play wasn’t good enough this afternoon against Everton after his side lost 2-0 at Goodison Park.

David Wagner explained that the players didn’t have enough trust and belief when going forwards and admitted the only piece of quality in the game came through Everton’s goals.

The Head Coach then went into detail about trying to change the Club’s game plan when 1-0 down and moving on quickly to focus on the to the two massive games coming up at the John Smith’s Stadium.

After the defeat David Wagner commented:

“In the first half it was an even game, not a nice game to watch with very less creativity and quality from both teams in the final third

“Both teams worked and fought and wanted to stay in shape, even if we maybe did it a bit higher than the opponent and forced them into long balls.

“The whole game was less quality and less creativity in the final third. Everton has shown a little bit more especially before the first goal and this was enough to beat us today.

“Today it’s a very disappointing afternoon because we were not good enough in the final third to create something; the quality of our game was not good enough.

“The players were not able to show their talent to do, which they have without a doubt, and this was very disappointing because they have shown this in the past; today they were not able to show it.”
