Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner felt his side’s performance warranted the point it gained at the very least after the Club’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.

David Wagner explained that he was very pleased with the performance and the number of opportunities his players created during the match.

Town’s Head Coach admitted that at half-time he was angry that his players hadn’t taken any of their chances but praised Laurent Depoitre for scoring the equaliser alongside the hard work he put in for the team.

Wagner ended the interview praising Huddersfield Town’s superb travelling supporters, admitting he can’t wait for the match at home against Stoke City on Boxing Day.

Following the match David Wagner said to #HTTV:

“I think it was a fantastic football match with a lot of offensive action from both teams. There was a lot of goalscoring situations, most of them we had in the first 20 minutes where we could easily have been one or two nil up.

“We conceded after a set play which was disappointing. We said at half time that performance wise we looked good but at the end we are 1-0 down and we need to make sure we have to have something in our hands.

“Southampton is a top team, they created their moments as well but a point against Southampton away, and such a good performance - I’m absolutely proud and delighted of that away performance."
