Head Coach David Wagner told #HTTV he was delighted for the players and the supporters after Town’s 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Town’s Head Coach went into detail about how the Club’s game plan to press Brighton & HA high and to be on the front foot worked and praised First Team Coach Andrew Hughes for his work on set pieces.

Wagner continued to praise Steve Mounié for his two goals and returning from injury in a positive fashion, whilst explaining that his side is now firmly focused on the Chelsea game on Tuesday.

Following the match David Wagner commented:

“This was an overall positive performance from the defence to the midfield, from the stand to the grass; everything was here today.

“It was high quality; I’m delighted for the players and very proud they made themselves independent from the circumstances.

“We said before the game we have to come back to ourselves, make ourselves independent from the circumstances we can’t influence, independent from the table and we have to be focused on the talent and the quality that this squad has.

“We have to have trust and belief in our game and our game plan; the players showed this today.

“This was high quality and I’m very proud with what they’ve done today; it was an absolutely deserved result today.”
