Huddersfield Town winger Joe Lolley praised the character of the group as the Terriers fought back to earn a point against Southampton after going a goal down.

Joe came on as a substitute against the Saints to make his second Premier League appearance of the season and explained how the players were happy with their performance on the South Coast.

The winger went into detail about how he’s worked harder than ever to get back into David Wagner’s squad and also spoke about making an immediate when he came off the bench with Tommy Smith.

When speaking to #HTTV after the game Joe explained:

“I think it was a deserved point, in the first half we were on top and we had some good chances I think their goal came against the run of play.

“In the second half we created some chances and got the goal, I think we had to hang on towards the end but we are happy and it was deserved.

“You’re chasing games in this League, teams have the quality to pick you off and maybe we’ve seen it at times this season where we’ve gone one down and struggled to get back into games.

“It was important we got into half time at 1-0 and kept in the game and we always knew we’d create chances in the second half and that’s what we’ve done”
