Town defenders being noticed by FPL managers

- Town’s defenders being selected after seventh clean sheet
- Only three defenders have picked up more bonus points than Schindler
- Rajiv van La Parra tipped as a good transfer by FPL Scout

Fantasy Premier League managers should note that the Terriers defence take on Leicester City on New Year’s Day in confident mood.

The stalemate with Burnley delivered a seventh clean sheet and, with just three goals conceded from the last four matches, goalkeeper Jonas Lossl (£4.6m) and centre-back Christopher Schindler (£4.6m) remain key FPL targets.

Both picked up bonus points in the draw with Burnley, with Schindler now moving to 12 bonus for the season; only three Premier League defenders have earned more.

In attack, FPL managers should look to winger Rajiv van La Parra (£4.8m) as an option.

The Dutchman has fired 25 shots on goal this term, second only to Tom Ince (£5.5m and 49) in the Terriers ranks.

Meanwhile, Leicester City have allowed more chances (48) down the right flank than any team in home matches this season. Regular right-back Danny Simpson (£4.4m) could also set to miss out through injury once again.

But the Foxes carry their own threat from wide areas, not least via Riyad Mahrez (£8.5m).

He will be the man to stop, with the Algerian supplying a goal or an FPL assist in seven of the last eight Gameweeks.
