Ahead of the final game of 2017, David Wagner spoke to the press from a snowy PPG Canalside previewing his sides upcoming Premier League game against Burnley.

Town’s Head Coach takes his side into the game on the back of two consecutive 1-1 draws firstly against Southampton and then at home to Stoke City on Boxing Day. David Wagner spoke on the necessity to be focused and consistent in order to pick up points in the Premier League:

“This is the Premier League. Sometimes you pick up results consistently, sometimes you don’t. You only have to be focused and have faith in your strength.

“We have to show them every single game, apart from the points they collected, they’ve performed consistently on a very good level, and this is our aim for tomorrow.

“We have to be focused on our performance against a strong opponent and hopefully with a strong performance we can collect further points.”

With Saturday’s game being the final game of 2017, David reflected on the successes of the year of 2017 with particular attention paid towards the Wembley Play-Off Final:

“Of course, it was a very successful 2017 for all of us who supports Huddersfield Town for sure, the Wembley final, the successful Wembley final will always be a part of this successful 2017.

“Before this final there were exciting moments and after the final as well. It’s hard to point them out but if I had to it would definitely be the Wembley play off final.

David Wagner also gave an update on the availability of his squad ahead of tomorrow’s game with no fresh injury concerns to report:

“Yes, no injury concerns after the last game. Chris Löwe has still some foot problems which he had after the Watford game, but he played the last game.

“But there is nothing else, so nothing we have to speak about; everyone will be available”
