Terriers take on Bundelsiga side tonight

- David Wagner names side for Stuttgart game
- Tommy Smith & Michael Hefele start after injuries
- No Cranie, Schindler or Hogg

Head Coach David Wagner has named his side for tonight’s penultimate pre-season friendly against VfB Stuttgart; 6pm kick-off local time in Schwaz, Austria.

25 of the 28 players on the pre-season camp have been named in the match day squad, with Tommy Smith making his first appearance in a game this pre-season after his foot injury sustained in the Play-Off Final. Tommy skippers the starting XI today.

There’s also a first start of pre-season for Michael Hefele (pictured above) after a substitute appearance against Udinese last time out, continuing his return from an Achilles problem.

Jonathan Hogg (ankle) is still recovering from the injury he picked up against Udinese. Martin Cranie has picked up a hip flexor issue in training, whilst Christopher Schindler misses the game through illness.

Nahki Wells (ankle) and Jon Gorenc Stanković (knee) are back in Huddersfield.
