Frankie Bunn took his Under-23 side to the capital on Monday afternoon to face Millwall in their opening game of the Professional Development League campaign.

The game was played at Millwall’s Calmont Road training ground, with the host grabbing the opening goal on 23 minutes, as Millwall forward Lewis White grabbed his first goal of the game.

In an attempt to get back into the game, Town made a double change at half-time introducing Sam Gibson and Saul Milovanovic in place of Danny Kane and Regan Booty.

Town then made their third and final change as Dom Tear was brought on to replace Deshane Dalling on 56 minutes.

The host then grabbed their second goal of the afternoon and it was that man, Lewis White, doubling his tally on 71 minutes.

A quickfire double with the first coming from Kris Twardek on 84 minutes and then an 85th minute hat-trick goal for Lewis White condemned Frankie Bunn’s side to a four-goal defeat.

Next up for the Under-23s is a home-tie against Queens Park Rangers next Monday afternoon (21 August 2017) due to be played at PPG Canalside; kick off 1pm.
