LOAN: JORDAN WILLIAMS JOINS BURY

25 August 2017

Defender joins Sky Bet League 1 club on loan

- Jordan Williams leaves Huddersfield Town on loan
- 17 year-old joins Bury
- Loan move runs until 31 May 2018

Huddersfield Town defender Jordan Williams has today joined Sky Bet League 1 side Bury on a season-long loan.

The 17 year-old’s loan runs until 31 May 2018, although the Terriers have the ability to recall the right-back in January 2018.

Jordan, who hails from Meltham, joined Town’s Academy at nine years old and has since progressed through the age groups at the Club.

The right back made his Huddersfield Town debut against Rotherham United in the Carabao Cup Second Round on Wednesday 23 August 2017. Jordan spoke to #HTTV after making his competitive debut for the Club, you can watch his interview by clicking here.

The youngster came on as a second half substitute against Bury in the pre-season friendly at Gigg Lane this summer, as Huddersfield Town won 3-1.

Jordan earned two England Under-18 caps in September 2016 and appeared 24 times for Frankie Bunn’s Under-23s side in the Professional Development League last season.

He is the second Huddersfield Town player to join Bury this summer, following in the footsteps of winger Harry Bunn who joined Bury permanently.

Bury currently sits 19th in Sky Bet League 1 after the Club’s opening three games of the season. The Shakers won their opening game of the campaign 1-0 against Walsall but have since lost to both Wigan and Bristol Rovers.
