WILLIAMS EARNS SECOND ENGLAND U18 CAP

Academy defender starts game at Morecambe

- Jordan Williams earns second England U18 cap
- Huddersfield Town defender plays 45 mins vs Israel
- 16 year-old debuted vs Italy last week

Huddersfield Town Academy scholar Jordan Williams earned a second England Under-18 cap on Monday evening in an international friendly against Israel.

The Meltham-born 16 year-old, who had previously been capped seven times at Under-17 level for the Three Lions, played the first 45 minutes in the 5-1 win against the visitors.

This was a second England U18 start in quick succession for Jordan, who played the full 90 minutes of a 2-1 friendly victory against Italy last Thursday.

Although he’s still in the first year of his two season Academy scholarship, Jordan has played exclusively for Town’s Under-23 side so far this season; starting the first two games of the Professional Development League season at right back.

He will now return to Huddersfield Town ahead of the Development Squad's next game; a home game against Bristol City at the John Smith's Stadium at 2pm on Thursday.
