Huddersfield Town defender Jon Stanković earned his 11th cap for Slovenia’s Under-21s in their 2-0 defeat to Republic of Ireland.

Stanković played eight minutes in their Euro qualifier match at Waterford, Ireland.

That defeat means Slovenia’s youngsters stay second in Group Two five points behind leaders Italy as they attempt to qualify for the Under-21 European Championships next summer.

The Town defender made his debut for the Club in the 2-1 defeat to Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Cup and has been involved with the Club’s Under-23s side.

Jon will re-join the Terriers following the match and will be back with the squad ahead of the game at Leeds United on 10 September.
