PREVIEW: U23s HOST FOREST ON SUNDAY

3 September 2016

Watch the Development Squad at PPG Canalside

-    Huddersfield Town Under-23s to host Nottingham Forest
-    Home game at PPG Canalside on Sunday afternoon
-    Match kicks off at 2pm

Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s will play their second home match of the Professional Development League season on Sunday at home to Nottingham Forest.

The match against the fellow PDL North side will take place at PPG Canalside on the front pitch and will kick-off at 2pm. Town fans can watch the game for a £1 admission fee, which includes a team-sheet.

The Development Squad comes into the game on the back of its first win of the season; a 3-1 victory at Hull City on Monday night. You can watch the highlights from this game courtesy of HTTV below!

The young Terriers are fifth in the embryonic Professional Development League North table after that win over Hull, a draw at home to Charlton Athletic and a defeat at Watford.

Senior Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn will be without the services of Jordan Williams through international duty, whilst attacker Ronan Coughlan and centre back Dylan Cogill have both missed the start of the campaign through knee injuries.

This weekend’s opposition, Nottingham Forest, sit one point behind the Terriers in the PDL North table in eighth position. The team is led by former Forest striker Jack Lester.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, before the top two teams from each league meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall champions.

Why not pop in to PPG Canalside for a drink or food before the match? The kitchen is open from 1pm before the game serving a selection of hot and cold sandwiches, jacket potatoes, chips and more! Follow @htafccanalside for more information.
