AARON MOOY RECEIVES AUSTRALIA SUMMONS

20 September 2016

Two internationals during the upcoming international break

- Aaron Mooy receives call-up to Australia squad
- Midfielder set to face Saudi Arabia & Japan in World Cup qualifiers
- Man City loanee already has 18 senior caps

Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy has been called up to the latest Australia squad for two upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The Caltex Socceroos will face Saudi Arabia and Japan in the next pair of games of the 2018 FIFA World Cup final qualifying stage.

Mooy has been named in Coach Ange Postecoglou’s 23 man squad, which will face Saudi Arabia in Jeddah on 6 October before a second game against Japan in Melbourne on 11 October.

The Socceroos sit top of the AFC qualification Group B after the opening two games; Aaron started both as the Australians beat Iraq in Perth before winning a second game in the UAE.

With the Sky Bet Championship taking an international break at this time, Mooy will have time to re-join the Terriers ahead of the live Sky Sports game at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday 16 October 2016.

Aaron, who already has 18 full caps and five goals for his country, won the Club's Blue & White Foundation 'Player of the Month' accolade in August for a string of impressive displays.
