Game in Bangkok to be played during the upcoming international break

- Midfielder set to face Thailand in World Cup qualifiers
- Man City loanee already has 20 senior caps

Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy has been called up to the latest Australia squad for an upcoming World Cup qualifier in November 2016.

The Caltex Socceroos will face Thailand in the next game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup final qualifying stage.

Mooy has been named in Head Coach Ange Postecoglou’s 30 man squad, which will face Thailand in the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on 15 November.

The Socceroos currently sit second in the AFC qualification Group B after four games, two points behind leaders Saudi Arabia. Opponent Thailand is bottom, having lost all four qualification games to date.

After all 10 group games have been completed, the top two sides will advance to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, with the third placed team heading to an inter-confederation Play-Off.

Aaron has started all four games for Australia so far, taking his total number of caps to 20. Mooy started as the Australians beat Iraq in Perth before winning a second game in the UAE, whilst the second round of games saw Mooy play in draws against Saudi Arabia and Japan.

With the Sky Bet Championship taking an international break at this time, Mooy will re-join the Terriers ahead of the fixture at Cardiff City on Saturday 19 November 2016.
