2.30pm kick-off at the John Smith's Stadium

- HTAFC U18s to face AFC Wimbledon in FA Youth Cup
- Terriers enter competition at Third Round Proper
- Match will take place at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday 17 December 2016

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side will play AFC Wimbledon in the Third Round Proper of this season’s FA Youth Cup.

The game will take place at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday 17 December 2016, with a 2.30pm kick-off.

Admission to the game will be priced at £4 for adults and £2 for concessions (over-60s and under-18s), with the north end of the Revell Ward Stand Lower Tier open on the afternoon.

Town's opponent was confirmed when the young Dons, who play in the Youth Alliance South East League, beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 in their Second Round tie.

Town were knocked out of the competition at this stage last season to eventual winners Chelsea; after being beaten 6-1 at Aldershot’s EBB Stadium. Highlights of the game are available below via HTTV.

Despite being beaten by eventual winners Chelsea in the last two seasons, Tony Carss’ side has been in good form in the competition recently, reaching both the Fourth Round and the quarter finals in the last three seasons.

Huddersfield Town's best run in the competition came in 1974, when the young Terriers became the first side from Yorkshire to reach the final; losing to Tottenham Hotspur over two legs.
