Wagner hands Stanković his first Sky Bet Championship start

Jon Gorenc Stanković starts his first league game in England in today’s Sky Bet Championship match against Cardiff City; 3pm kick-off in Wales.

The Slovenia Under-21 international, pictured above, has been handed his full debut by Head Coach David Wagner, who is taking charge of the Terriers in his 50th game this afternoon.

Tommy Smith captains the Terriers again this afternoon.

Wagner is without the services of Harry Bunn (hamstring), Joe Lolley (foot) and Jack Payne, who picked up a knock to the knee in training on Friday.
