- Chairman Dean Hoyle Comments

Huddersfield Town’s Chief Executive Julian Winter has been appointed as a Director of the Club.

He joins Chairman Dean Hoyle, Operations Director Ann Hough, Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Non-Executive Director Roger Burnley on an enlarged five-person Board.

Winter’s day-to-day operational role and responsibilities will be unchanged as he continues to lead the Club’s operational and strategic operation, particularly off the field.

Huddersfield-born Winter, who played for the Club between 1984 and 1989, studied a degree in Leisure and Recreation Management at Sheffield Hallam University after hanging up his boots.

Julian subsequently joined Watford in April 2006 as Community Director, overseeing the Club's award-winning Community Sports & Education Trust, before moving to become Deputy CEO for the Hornets.

Julian became Watford’s new Chief Executive in 2008, eventually departing the Club in June 2011 upon the arrival of new owners. Three months later, Julian was appointed the Chief Executive of League 1 Sheffield United as Chief Executive in September 2011. During his time he oversaw a search for new investment, which came to fruition two years later. He finally departed the South Yorkshire club in December 2013

Ahead of re-joining Town, Julian was Notts County’s CEO.

Chairman Dean Hoyle commented:

“I’m delighted to welcome Julian to the Club’s Board of Directors.

“Julian has been a fantastic addition to Huddersfield Town’s off-the-field staff since his appointment as Chief Executive last Easter and his appointment to the Board is a natural progression of his role.

“I’m in favour of a small board at the Club, as one of our strengths is the ability to make quick decisions. Having Julian’s input and contribution at board level will only strengthen this.”
