First friendlies confirmed for David Wagner’s side
- First two friendlies ahead of 2016/17 confirmed- Game at Guiseley on Wednesday 6 July
- Another fixture at Oldham Athletic on Saturday 16 July
Two pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship campaign have today been confirmed for David Wagner’s First Team squad.
The first match ahead of the new season is the regular trip to Vanarama National League side Guiseley AFC’s Nethermoor ground, which will take place on Wednesday 6 July 2016 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
The Lions, managed by Mark Bower, retained their Vanarama National League status on the final day of the 2015/16 campaign, finishing a point above the relegation zone in 20th position.
The Terriers will also make the short trip to Sky Bet League 1 side Oldham Athletic’s SportsDirect.com Park on Saturday 16 July 2016, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
Led by John Sheridan, the Latics finished 17th in League 1 in the 2015/16 season, eight points clear of the relegation zone.
The Oldham squad currently includes former Town players Anthony Gerrard and Lee Croft.
