Young Terriers to take on the Lions at PPG Canalside

- Under-21s host Millwall in PDL2 Play-Off semi-final
- Game to be played at PPG Canalside on Tuesday 3 May
- 2pm kick-off at the Huddersfield Town training ground

Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 side will host Millwall in the Professional Development League 2 Play-Off semi-final on Tuesday 3 May.

The game will take place at Town’s PPG Canalside training complex (509 Leeds Road; HD2 1YJ) with a 2pm kick-off.

Admission to the game is priced at £1 per person, for which you will receive a team sheet.

A winner must be decided on the afternoon, so extra time and penalties will be played if needed.

The victor will face the winner of the other semi-final between Charlton Athletic and Sheffield United in the PDL2 Final.

Senior Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn’s side finished top of the 11-team PDL2 North table with 65 points from 30 games. With 62 goals scored, Bunn’s side is the highest scorer across the two regional divisions.

The young Terriers will be hoping to go one step further than last season when they lost the PDL2 Final to Swansea City 3-2 at the Liberty Stadium.

Bunn’s men finished their regular PDL2 North fixtures with a 1-1 draw at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena on Monday afternoon; highlights of that game are below via HTTV!

Tuesday’s opponent Millwall finished as runners-up in the PDL2 South with 54 points from 29 games; three points behind winners Charlton.

Led by Justin Skinner, Millwall has the best defensive record in the southern section with just 25 goals conceded.

The two sides have already met once this season, with the Terriers winning 2-0 in London thanks to goals from Jake Charles and Philip Billing.
