LOTS IN STORE AT TOWN vs BRENTFORD

6 May 2016

Money to win, P4P7 bike ride and PPG Canalside Q&A

- Lots in store at Town vs Brentford
- Earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm
- Get down early to welcome back P4P7 riders

Huddersfield Town will be looking to finish the season on a high as they host Brentford on Saturday – and there’s plenty to look forward to off the pitch too!

Don’t forget that the game kicks off at the earlier time of 12.30pm!

The Club is also expecting the Fantastic Media Stand turnstiles to be busy due to the Schools Focus initiative, so please make sure you arrive at the John Smith’s Stadium in good time.

The Golden Gamble draw is set to return for the final time this season and is shaping up to be a big one.

With the rollover prize for the last gamble not won, it means that a total of £6,000 is on offer during the half-time break.

Tickets are on offer for £1 from sellers around the ground, with all the money raised going to the Huddersfield Town Academy.

With £30,000 being won over the course of last season there is always a chance of going home rich with the Golden Gamble!

On top of this, the cyclists from the Pedal for Pounds 7 bike ride will be doing a lap of honour at the John Smith’s Stadium before kick-off.

This year saw 180 cyclists take part in the ‘Keep It Up’ fundraising event as they covered a total of 215 miles in three days this week.

This year’s route was in honour of former Town manager Bill Shankly and followed the route of the clubs he was involved with. The cyclists started at Carlisle, rode to Liverpool, and then finished in Huddersfield on Friday. The money raised goes towards Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town’s Academy.

The lap of honour will take place after noon, so please get down a little earlier to give them a cheer!

You can also pick up a copy of the last match day programme of the season in and around the stadium.

‘Give Us An H’ is on sale for £2 and this week features an interview with Town’s newly crowned player of the year and top goal scorer, Nahki Wells.

Also included will be the thoughts of David Wagner on the match itself and how he feels the season has gone since his appointment as manager six months ago.

Before kick-off there will also be a Q&A with former Town manager Peter Jackson and ex-player Iffy Onuora.

The session will start at PPG Canalside at 10.30am and will run for 45 minutes, making it an ideal activity before the match kicks-off located only a short distance from the stadium. It is free for members and only £2 for non-members.

Town supporters are reminded that it is against the law to enter the field of play and any pitch invasion at the full-time whistle on Saturday could threaten the planned lap of honour by David Wagner and the squad.

Town’s Head Coach and the playing squad would like to return to the pitch after the full time whistle to thank supporters for their tremendous support up and down the country this season.

However, these plans could be put in jeopardy if there is a pitch encroachment by supporters at the final whistle and fans are being urged to stay in their seats, so that every supporter can enjoy the post-match celebrations.

Thanks in advance for your support!
