Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side could go third in the Professional Development League 2 North with a win at Yorkshire rival Barnsley on Friday afternoon.

The side, which is managed by Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss, currently sits fourth in the northern league with 47 points from 26 games. A win at Oakwell would see the team jump above Crewe Alexandra into third in the division, two points behind second placed Sheffield United in the final Play-Off position.

Barnsley's Under-18 side comes into the game placed bottom of the table with 13 points from 26 games.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, before the top two teams from each league meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall champions.

The young Terriers have won eight of the last 10 games in the league and goes into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 Yorkshire derby win at Leeds United last weekend. Highlights of the game are below courtesy of HTTV!
