- Comments from Operations Director Ann Hough

The Football Association has issued a reminder to club and supporters about incidents involving objects thrown by spectators towards the pitch.

Football clubs have a responsibility under FA Rules to take appropriate measures in order to provide a safe environment for spectators, players and match officials and to encourage good conduct by the supporters of both teams.

If any incident should occur where an object is thrown towards the pitch, Huddersfield Town will make every effort to identify the perpetrators.

The throwing of any object within the stadium is a criminal offence and strong action will be taken against anyone committing such an offence.

Huddersfield Town’s Operations Director Ann Hough explained:

“I’m proud to say that Huddersfield Town has a fantastic record when it comes to this subject but in light of several recent high-profile incidents at other football clubs, I believe it is pertinent to issue this reminder to fans.

“In the uncommon event that anyone sees a person throw something towards the pitch at a Huddersfield Town game, please report the incident to your nearest steward.”
