Huddersfield Town midfielder Emyr Huws has been called up to the Wales senior squad for two friendlies during the upcoming international break.

The 22 year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Wigan Athletic, is in Chris Coleman’s squad for the Vauxhall International Friendly matches at home to Northern Ireland on Thursday 24 March at the Cardiff City Stadium and away to Ukraine on Monday 28 March at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.

These two friendlies take place ahead of the UEFA Euro 2016 competition that takes place in the summer, which Wales qualified for by finishing second in Qualifying Group B.

Emyr already has five caps for Wales’ senior side and scored his first goal in the nation’s last game; a 3-2 friendly defeat at home to the Netherlands in November 2015.

To date, Emyr has scored five goals in 22 starts and two substitute appearances for Huddersfield Town.

He was named the Blue & White Foundation’s September 2015 Player of the Month after scoring four goals in his first three starts for the Club.
