Development Squad duo join Scottish Premiership club
- Flo Bojaj & William Boyle join Kilmarnock- Duo move out on loan until 4 January 2017
- Comments from Head Coach David Wagner
Two of Huddersfield Town’s league-winning Under-21 squad have completed loan moves to Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock today.
Striker Flo Bojaj and centre back William Boyle, both 20 years old, will move north to join Killie until 4 January 2017 to gain further experience of First Team football.
Kilmarnock is managed by former Town boss Lee Clark and maintained its Premiership survival in 2015/16 via the Play-Offs, defeating Scottish Championship runners-up Falkirk over two legs.
Kosovo-born Flo has scored one goal in eight substitute appearances for the Terriers, all coming last season, and signed a contract running until the summer of 2017 back in October.
Left-sided centre back Boyle (below) completes this loan move after putting pen to paper on the one year contract offered to him last month, which has a further year’s option in the Club’ favour. This is William’s fourth loan club, following 12 games for EFL Sky Bet League 2 club York City last season and previous spells at Macclesfield Town and Kidderminster Harriers.
Both players were regulars in Frankie Bunn’s Under-21 side that won the Professional Development League 2 championship in 2015/16.
Huddersfield Town’s Head Coach David Wagner explained:
“This is a great opportunity for Flo and William to go and play regular senior football at a good level.
“They have shown that they are accomplished at Under-21 level and this will be a great test for them against seasoned professional players.
“We will watch them both closely and hope to see them succeed.”
