Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 side will play a pre-season friendly at AFC Emley tomorrow evening (Monday); 7pm kick-off at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.

Frankie Bunn’s side will make the short trip to play the Northern Counties East League Division One team as they prepare for their 2016/17 Professional Development League 2 season.

The young Terriers faced AFC Emley last season and ran out 4-1 winners; thanks to a hat-trick from youngster Flo Bojaj and a goal from Adam Porritt.

Managed by Darren Hepworth, AFC Emley’s First Team finished fourth last season; their highest finish since its formation in 2005.

Hepworth’s side suffered an end of season heartbreak as they lost on penalties in the play-off final against Bottesford Town.

This is Emley’s third pre-season friendly of the season as they prepare for another promotion challenge next season. So far Hepworth’s side have beaten Hall Green United 3-1 and Shelley 6-0.

They have strengthened their squad in the transfer window most recently adding midfielder Joe Brennan from Bradford City.

Former Town goalkeeper Matt Glennon has joined their coaching staff, while they have also managed to keep hold of star player Ashley Flynn who has scored 78 goals in 49 appearances for the Club.

If you want to watch Town’s U21s, admission prices confirmed at the turnstiles as:
Adults: £6
Concessions: £4
Under-13s with an accompanying adult: free
