TRANSFER: MURRAY WALLACE JOINS SCUNTHORPE

2 January 2016

Centre back departs ‘The Yorkshire Club’

- Murray Wallace departs Huddersfield Town
- Defender completes move to Scunthorpe United
- Permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee

Murray Wallace has today departed Huddersfield Town after completing a permanent transfer to Sky Bet League 1 club Scunthorpe United for an undisclosed fee.

The 22 year-old centre back joined Town during Lee Clark’s tenure as Manager in the January 2012 transfer window from Falkirk.

After initially returning to the Scottish club on loan, he went onto make 42 starts and 18 substitute appearances for the Club during three years, scoring four goals.

Only one of those appearances – as a substitute during the 3-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday – has come under Town’s Head Coach David Wagner.

Murray made 13 starts for Scunthorpe during an Emergency Loan spell at Glanford Park between August and November 2015 and now joins the Iron permanently, where he will work under former Town Manager Mark Robins.
