Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 side will play away at Southampton in the Round of 16 of the 2015/16 Premier League Cup.
The Saints - holders of the Cup having won the competition in 2014/15 - defeated Chelsea on Wednesday evening to setup the tie.
The game will be played at Southampton's St. Mary's Stadium on Monday 25 January 2016; 7pm kick-off. Admission to the game will be free of charge.
As a result, Town's scheduled Professional Development League 2 North game at Coventry City will be rescheduled.
Frankie Bunn's side has already defeated Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough at the John Smith's Stadium in earlier rounds this season; highlights of the Boro win are below via HTTV!
Southampton has a Category 1 Academy within the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), meaning its Under-21 side plays its regular league fixtures in the Barclays U21 Premier League.
HTAFC entered the competition at the Qualifying Round 2 stage due to the Academy’s Category 2 status.
As in the PDL2, teams can play a maximum of three overage outfields and an overage goalkeeper.
The winner has to be decided on the day, so extra time and penalties will be utilised if required.
Senior Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn’s side reached the quarter finals of the competition last year, defeating Barnsley, Everton and Charlton Athletic before losing 1-0 in the last few seconds against Reading.
Town's Under-21 side has won its last 13 games in all competitions after Monday's 3-2 home win over Hull City at PPG Canalside.
