Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side is back in action at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning in a Yorkshire Professional Development League 2 North derby against Barnsley.

The game will be played at PPG Canalside on the pitch over the canal and is free to watch for supporters wishing to attend. Kick-off is 11am.

The young Terriers, who are led by Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss, saw an unbeaten run stretching back to 17 October ended by visitors Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, with the Owls emerging as 2-1 victors at PPG Canalside.

Town still sits fifth in the division with 32 points from 19 games, five points behind second placed Birmingham City.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, before the top two teams from each league meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall champions.

This weekend’s visitors from South Yorkshire also come into the game on the back of a defeat; a 1-0 reversal at the hands of Nottingham Forest last Saturday. With 12 points from 20 games this season, the Tykes sit bottom of the 11 team division.
