NIGEL CLIBBENS DEPARTS HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

5 February 2016

Comments from Chairman Dean Hoyle

Huddersfield Town can confirm that Nigel Clibbens has today departed his role as the Club’s CEO.

Nigel joined the Club’s Board of Directors as Chief Executive in December 2008, having assisted Chairman Dean Hoyle when he made his initial investment whilst working for Grant Thornton.

He has overseen the day-to-day running of the Club for the past seven years, during which time the team gained promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship.

Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle commented:

“I would like to place on record my thanks to Nigel for his dedicated work on behalf of the Club. He has made a massive contribution into transforming Huddersfield Town into the forward-thinking, progressive organisation it is today.

“He played a big role in helping the Club progress off the field, as well as on the pitch through promotion back to the second tier. He leaves with my best wishes for the future.

“Change is something that you have to be prepared for in football and the Club will now begin its search for a new Chief Executive. At a time when David Wagner is overseeing a transformation of life on-the-pitch at Huddersfield Town, we’ll look to bring someone in to lead a new chapter off it.”
