LOAN: WILLIAM BOYLE REJOINS YORK CITY

26 February 2016

Defender returns to League 2 club

- William Boyle rejoins York City on loan
- HTAFC U21 Captain departs until 26 May
- 14 possible games for the centre back

Huddersfield Town’s William Boyle has today completed a return to Sky Bet League 2 club York City on a Youth Loan.

The 20 year-old, left-footed centre back has joined the Minstermen until 26 May 2016 inclusive, with the Terriers having the ability to recall the defender after the first 28 days.

William has made one substitute appearance under Head Coach David Wagner so far, coming on for the final few minutes of Town’s 2-1 Sky Bet Championship defeat at Preston North End on 6 February.

Boyle has also been the regular captain of Frankie Bunn’s table-topping Under-21 squad; he’s scored three goals in 15 starts this season.

York City currently sits in the League 2 relegation zone, 23rd with 26 points from 32 games. The Minstermen are level on points with the first club outside the relegation spots, Yeovil Town.

The team has 14 scheduled matches during William’s loan spell, starting with Saturday’s 3pm kick-off at home to Luton Town.
