BILLING RED CARD APPEAL UNSUCCESFUL

25 February 2016

FA review panel makes decision

- HTAFC's appeal against Philip Billing red card unsuccessful
- Midfielder was sent off at stadiummk on Tuesday
- Philip will now serve a three match suspension

Huddersfield Town can confirm that its appeal against the sending off of Philip Billing during Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Milton Keynes Dons has been unsuccessful.

The 19 year-old midfielder was shown a straight red card for serious foul play in the 49th minute of the game at stadiummk after going into a challenge on halfway with home midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey.

At a meeting of the FA's Regulatory Committee held on Thursday 25 February, the members ruled it was not a case of wrongful dismissal.

Philip will now serve a three match suspension, ruling him out of the games against Ipswich Town (H) on Saturday 27 February; at Derby County on 5 March and at home to Reading on 8 March.
