Huddersfield Town is recruiting a new Bar Event Manager to join the team at its PPG Canalside facility.
Successful individual should be forward thinking, innovative and able to drive results forward working in partnership with the PPG Canalside Commercial Manager.
This role would suit an energetic, enthusiastic individual who has had some experience of events, bar work with the ability to deliver first class customer service, working well as part of a team.
Key Tasks:
- responsible for the recruitment of new bar staff, permanent or casual
- delivering induction training & continuous personal development bar training to all bar staff
- source new epos till system appropriate for the complex
- overall management, organisation of bar & cellar area
- building an appropriate bar stock purchasing strategy
- continuous assessment of all bar stock pricing, ensuring all cost savings are met, purchasing deals continuously negotiated to reduce costs, increase bar revenue
- responsible for cash handling, daily banking and KPI
- promoting all areas of PPG Canalside via social media
- assisting PPG Canalside duty managers in their current roles
- possessing excellent customer service skills, maintaining a high level of customer retention
- ensure that all meetings, conferences, events are correctly and professionally set up in accordance with client’s requirements
- ensuring that bar staff rotas are appropriate in accordance with the events diary
- organisation of stock room & cellar
- cellar maintenance, further development
- source new bar products which are on trend within the industry
- manage match day bar operations
- development of bar/function area
- flexible working hours including weekends
- possess excellent organisational & communication skills
- be trustworthy and adhere to club code of conduct ethics
- deliver an excellent match day experience for all fans
- deliver well presented & accurate reports to be communicated to required departments in appropriate timescales/deadlines
- support & representation at all commercial events
- responsible to Commercial Manager
- responsible for all casual bar staff
- bar management experience preferred
