Smith returns in solitary change to starting XI
- David Wagner makes one change to the HTAFC XI- Tommy Smith starts after one match suspension
- Cranie on the bench; Whitehead not in the squad
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made one change to his starting XI for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Bristol City; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
After serving a one match suspension for last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers, Tommy Smith returns to the team to captain the side this afternoon. He replaces Martin Cranie at right back, who is among the substitutes.
The starting line-up is otherwise unchanged from the stalemate at Ewood Park last time out, meaning midfielder Jonathan Hogg makes his 100th start for the Club in all competitions.
Smith’s return to the match day squad sees Dean Whitehead make way; he’s not in the match day 18 today.
Wagner is without the injured Mark Hudson (hamstring), Sean Scannell (ankle) and Joe Lolley (foot).
