Huddersfield Town’s Under-21 Professional Development League 2 fixtures have been confirmed for the 2016/17 season.

The Terriers, led by Senior Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn, will start their season with a game against Charlton Athletic at PPG Canalside on Sunday 14 August, 2pm kick-off.

Most of the fixtures are against sides from the same northern group as Town, which are played twice, but as per previous seasons there are also fixtures against sides from the southern section; 10 in total.

Town's home games are regularly held at PPG Canalside and supporters are welcome to come and watch, although a number of games will be played at the John Smith’s Stadium too. Home venues will be confirmed nearer the date of the games.

At the conclusion of the regular PDL2 season, the top two sides from the northern and southern divisions go into the end of season Play-Off to determine the overall champion.

Last season Frankie Bunn’s side beat Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane and were crowned PDL2 Champions.

Town’s Under-21 side goes into the game on the back of a successful pre-season. The young Terriers won their first two games beating Wigan Under-21s and AFC Emley, but did suffer a 1-0 defeat to West Brom. Their final friendly of the season is against Guernsey on Wednesday.
