Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 Professional Development League 2 fixtures have been confirmed for the 2016/17 season.

The young Terriers, led by Professional Development Coaches Tony Carss and Leigh Bromby, will start their season with a game against Bristol City away from home on Saturday 13 August, 11am kick-off.

Most of the fixtures are against sides from the same northern group as Town, who are played twice, but as per previous seasons there are also fixtures against sides from the southern section; 10 in total.

Town's home games are held at PPG Canalside and supporters are welcome to come and watch.

Since the Professional Development League 2 was brought in by the introduction of the Elite Player Performance Plan in 2012, the Club has performed well in the division.

2012/13 – 2nd in PDL2 North; lost PDL2 Play-Off Final
2013/14 - PDL2 North Champions; won PDL2 Play-Offs
2014/15 – PDL2 North Champions; lost PDL2 Play-Off semi-final
2015/16 – 3rd in PDL2 North; two points off the Play-Off places

Eight new scholars have been introduced to the Under-18s this year and couldn’t have had a better start to pre-season beating Blackpool 8-0.

A couple of draws and defeats against Walsall, Burnley and Oldham followed, but Development Coach Tony Carss insisted the youngsters are improving match on match.

A key member of the Under-18s squad Luca Colville was called up to Frankie Bunn’s Under-21s side for their pre-season friendly last night against Guernsey.

The youngster scored four times as the young Terriers won 6-0; the highlights are below.
