TRANSFER: JACK SENIOR JOINS LUTON TOWN

31 August 2016

Under-23 defender joins the Hatters

- Jack Senior departs Huddersfield Town
- Teenage defender joins Luton Town
- Comments from Head of Football Operations Stuart Webber

Development Squad defender Jack Senior has today completed a permanent transfer to Sky Bet League 2 club Luton Town.

The 19 year-old left back – a graduate of the Huddersfield Town Academy, having joined the Club as a 10 year-old – played every game for Frankie Bunn’s Under-21 side on route to the Professional Development League 2 Championship in the 2015/16 season.

Halifax-born Jack never made a First Team appearance for the Terriers, but did travel to Spain with David Wagner’s squad upon the German’s arrival as Head Coach in November 2015.

Jack’s contract at the Club was due to run until the summer of 2017. The terms of his transfer to Luton Town are undisclosed.

He now joins the Hatters, managed by former Yeovil and Brighton left back Nathan Jones, who currently sit second in the Sky Bet League 2 table with 10 points from five games.

Huddersfield Town’s Head of Football Operations Stuart Webber commented:

“Everyone at Huddersfield Town would like to wish Jack the best of luck at his new club.

“The recent arrival of Tareiq Holmes-Dennis would have curtailed Jack’s playing time and we have a duty of care to the player, who is a great lad and has been at Huddersfield for a long time. With his contract running out at the end of the season, this is a great move for Jack and the clubs involved.

“Jack has talent and we all hope to see him excel in Sky Bet League 2.”
