ACADEMY CELEBRATION vs HULL ON SATURDAY

8 April 2016

Information on what to expect on Saturday

- Saturday's game vs Hull City is the 'Academy Game'

Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match at home to Hull City will be Huddersfield Town’s annual ‘Academy Game’.

The game will be used to showcase and highlight the work that is going on at the Club’s Academy, which is based at PPG Canalside.

As per previous years, next season’s scholars – the players who will begin their two year scholarships in 2016/17 season – will be revealed during the half-time interval. Click HERE for info on which players will turn professional.

The Jack Waterworth Trophy for the Academy Goal of the Year will be presented during the half time break whilst some of Town’s promising younger footballers will also take centre stage during the interval, with the Under-10s, Under-13s and Under-14s showcasing their abilities on the John Smith’s Stadium pitch.

The Club will also give its Under-9s group a special taste of just what it’s like to play for the First Team through a visit to the dressing rooms ahead of the game and with a lap of the pitch pre-match.

Before the game, Town's Under-11s will be demonstrating their skills to fans outside the Revell Ward Stand and the Under-15 squad will wave flags as the teams enter the field of play ahead of the Championship clash.

Ahead of the 3pm kick-off against the Tigers, Town’s Under-18 side will host Crystal Palace at PPG Canalside in an 11am kick-off. Click HERE for a match preview.

As always, the Golden Gamble draw will take place during the half-time interval; a particularly pertinent fact at the annual Academy game. Click HERE for more information.

Town’s official match day magazine, Give Us An H, will also be packed with information about the Academy, with pages featuring the latest developments and comments from the key figures.
