Goalkeeper joins Town on loan from Premier League

Huddersfield Town has today signed Jed Steer on a 28 day Emergency Loan deal from Premier League club Aston Villa until Thursday 8 October inclusive.
The Norwich-born ‘keeper came through the ranks at his hometown club having joined the Canaries as schoolboy. Jed has also represented England at youth level making a total of 14 appearances for England at U16, U17 and U19 levels.
He signed a professional contract at Norwich in 2010. During his time there he had two loan spells making 16 appearances for Yeovil and Cambridge collectively.
In June 2013 he made a reported £450,000 move to his current club Aston Villa to join Brad Guzan and Shay Given, signed by Paul Lambert. He made his Premier League debut for Villa in a 0-1 home defeat to Burnley in May 2015.
Jed has also had recent loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and a second spell at Yeovil Town, both in League 1. He made 13 appearances for Doncaster and 12 for Yeovil last season.

“It's no secret that we need another goalkeeper added to the squad and Jed has been on our radar for a while.
“If anything happens, like it has, I'm glad the Club can act quickly and bring somebody of his calibre in. He will go straight into the squad for the upcoming games.
"He is a young talented goalkeeper who has had some experience out on loan. He has played for two different Premier League clubs and at youth level for his country and we hope that his month with us is successful in every way possible."
Jed Steer will wear the number one shirt and is available for selection for this Saturday's Sky Bet Championship game at Cardiff City.
