JASON GETS SOCCEROOS SUMMONS

24 September 2015

Left back to face Jordan during international break

- Jason Davidson in latest Australia squad
- Socceroos to play Jordan in Amman on 8 October
- Defender will not miss any Huddersfield Town games

Huddersfield Town defender Jason Davidson has been named in the latest Australia squad for an upcoming World Cup qualifier.

Jason, who has 20 caps for his country, has been named in Coach Ange Postecoglou’s squad for the game in Jordan on Thursday 8 October, which will kick off in Amman at 3pm UK time.

The Socceroos sit on top of Group B with a 100% record having defeated Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh and Tajikistan in the opening three games of qualifying.

However, the trip to Jordan looms as the toughest test for the Socceroos so far; Jordan sits two points behind the Socceroos after three matches.

The winners of the group will advance to the next stage of qualifying, with the ultimate aim to reach the final 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia.

Jason, who joined Town in the summer following his departure from West Bromwich Albion, has started eight games for the Club at the start of the campaign.

The Terriers will not be in action during the latest spate of internationals, so Jason will return to England well in time for the Sky Bet Championship game at Ipswich Town on Saturday 17 October.

Watch Jason and the Terriers in home action against Nottingham Forest tonight (Thursday) - it's just £15 for adults at the gate in most home areas!
