Over 5,000 Town fans have already downloaded Huddersfield Town’s new official app, Town Square, just two months after its launch!
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:
“The Club is very pleased with how ‘Town Square’ has performed and how many times it has been downloaded since its launch two months ago.
“The support from Huddersfield Town fans has been fantastic; we’ve received lots of feedback over several different mediums on how it has improved their match day experience and also proved useful on non-match days.
“In particular, the push notifications we’ve sent via the app – to promote Dean Hoyle’s Q&A session with supporters and breaking team news - have been popular.
“We’re now comfortable with how the first stage of the app is working and we’re working on several improvements that we can roll out to improve Town Square even further in the second phase. That will include the introduction of iBeacons, a technology that will allow us to use the app to promote special offers and competitions.
“I’d like to thank the staff at Heineken once more for their support; without them, Town Square wouldn’t have been possible.”
The new app is designed to keep supporters in the know, whenever and wherever they may be. Those who download the app can read and see everything to do with Huddersfield Town. Through the app, supporters can check line-ups, stats and scores across all the leagues with live tables to buying tickets or shirts, whilst staying up-to-date with all the latest news from the Club.
The app, designed by club partner Worthington Brown and supported by John Smith’s, gives Town fans a better match day experience thanks to the use of innovative technology from TribeHive.
The technology gives users of the app exclusive access to the internet by providing an alternative solution to Wi-Fi that can be expensive to provide in such big venues, providing connectivity to the whole stadium.
