18 year-old defender earns third cap

- Defender a second half sub vs Ukraine
- Now three Under 19 caps for Danny
Huddersfield Town defender Danny Kane earned his third cap for the Republic of Ireland Under-19 side in an international friendly against Ukraine on Monday afternoon.
The centre back, who joined Town’s Academy from Irish club Cherry Orchard in February 2013, came on at half time in a 2-1 friendly defeat in Limerick.
This was Danny's third cap at Under-19 level, coming shortly after he captained the side in another friendly against the same opposition on Saturday, when he scored in a 1-1 draw.
These friendlies came ahead of the start of Ireland's 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign in November. The Irish are in Group A alongside Scotland, Slovenia and Latvia.
This international summons is the latest in a line of recognition by Ireland for Danny, who was named Ireland’s Under-17 Player of the Year in March 2015.
Town's next home game against MK Dons is only £10 entry at the gate for adults!
