- Meltham-born player already has six U17 caps

Huddersfield Town Academy defender Jordan Williams has been called up to the England Under-17 squad for a pair of international friendlies against Germany.

Head Coach Steve Cooper’s side will take on the Germans at England’s St. George’s Park complex on Wednesday 18 November 2015, 5pm kick-off, before a second game at Rotherham United’s AESSEAL New York Stadium on Friday 20 November; 7.45pm start.

Centre back Jordan, who hails from Meltham and joined the Academy at nine years old, has already earned six caps for his country at this level, most recently starting all three games as the Three Lions qualified for the European Championship Elite Qualifying Rounds.

Jordan is an Under-16 player within the Club’s Academy, but has started seven games for the Under-18s so far this season.

Tony Carss’ Town Under-18 side is next in action on Saturday in a Professional Development League 2 North game at Crewe Alexandra.
