Jack Boyle on shortlist for LFE Goal of the Month

Huddersfield Town Academy scholar Jack Boyle is on the shortlist for the League Football Education’s (LFE) April 2015 Goal of the Month award – and he needs your votes!

The 17 year-old attacking midfielder is one of the nominees for his superb free-kick netted straight from a wide position during a 2-0 Under-18 win at Birmingham City on 8 April, when Boyle scored a brace. The victory in the Midlands was an important result as Tony Carss’ side eventually went on to win the Professional Development League 2 North title.

After missing the start of the season through injury, Jack had a great first year of his two year scholarship at the Academy. The diminutive attacker netted 10 goals in 21 starts for the Under-18s, as well as a further four goals in four starts and five substitute appearances for the Club’s Under-21s.

Jack also won the Club’s Academy Goal of the Season award for 2014/15 for another free-kick against Birmingham City at PPG Canalside in December 2014.
