Town skipper visits Highfields with Community Trust

Huddersfield Town Captain Mark Hudson joined the Huddersfield Town Community Trust at the Highfields Community Centre recently.

Huddersfield Town Community Trust delivers a football session every Friday morning between 10.30 and 11.30am at the Huddersfield Sports Centre with Community Coach Adam Davies, who explains:

“I do a quick warm up with the group with a football that includes a lot of movement to get them ready.

“After they have warmed up I move into relays which focuses on dribbling and team work whilst keeping the session fun.

“We always tend to finish with a match and penalties, which everyone loves.”

The individuals who take part in the session asked if it was possible to meet a Huddersfield Town player - and who better to see at the Highfields Community Centre than the Captain!

Mark told

“It was great to visit Highfields Community Centre and to see the work that Adam and the Huddersfield Town Community Trust does.

“It was also nice to see that so many of the individuals there were Huddersfield Town fans.”

Rob Day, Manager of Huddersfield Town Community trust, also attended the event and praised the work that goes on:

“It’s fantastic what happens up at Highfields; it is a really good atmosphere and everyone seems as happy as they can be.

“Adam has been working with the group for a while now and I know he enjoys it and the participants love having Adam around.

“It was brilliant that Mark could take time out to come and meet these people, talk to them and sign autographs. Most of the people at the centre are Town fans and were very excited and happy to have a photo and talk with Mark.”
