Town striker nets third goal in two internationals
Huddersfield Town forward Nahki Wells’ brace helped Bermuda progress to the second round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers at the expense of the Bahamas on Sunday evening.
Nahki netted the first and third goals as Bermuda won 3-0 at a sold-out Bermuda National Stadium in Devonshire, sealing an 8-0 aggregate victory in the first round qualifiers; he also scored in the first round win.
The Bermudians now advance to the second round to face Guatemala over two legs during June 2015.
Nahki will now return to England ahead of Town’s Sky Bet Championship game at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Town’s next player in international action is loanee David Edgar, whose Canada plays in Puerto Rico on Monday.
