U18S HOST SHEFF WED ON SATURDAY

13 March 2015

Come and watch the young Terriers at PPG Canalside

Town’s Under-18s host Sheffield Wednesday at PPG Canalside this Saturday as they look to extend the lead at the top of the Under-18 Professional Development League 2 North table.

The game will kick-off at 11am and is free to attend for everyone and supporters will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the Club’s ‘On the Move’ lottery that helps to fund the Town Academy.

Tony Carss’ side will be looking to get back to winning ways having failed to win its last game, which ended as a 3-0 loss against local rivals Leeds United.

Despite failing to win its last game, Carss’ youngsters still sit at the top of the Professional Development League 2 North table and will take confidence from its 1-0 win over Barnsley in the last home game.

When the two sides met earlier in the season in Sheffield it was Town’s youngsters who came out on top with a 2-1 victory in dramatic circumstances. The young Terriers looked to be heading for defeat until Regan Booty and Sam Warde scored in the dying moments to turn the game on its head.

Town’s opponents Sheffield Wednesday currently occupy 5th position in the table and suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the hands of neighbours Sheffield United last time out.

As always, Town’s Twitter account - @htafcdotcom – will have the team news and updates of the goals as they go in on Saturday afternoon!
