ROSS WILSON TO DEPART TOWN

14 March 2015

Director and Head of Football Operations moves on

Huddersfield Town can today confirm that Ross Wilson, the Head of Football Operations and a member of the Board of Directors, is to leave the Club.

Ross is set to join Premier League club Southampton as Director of Scouting and Recruitment.

Ross, 32, joined the Club over two years ago in August 2012, taking up a newly created position in the Club after promotion to the Championship.

His role has seen him work very closely with Town’s managers on player recruitment. He has directed, developed and overseen the day-to-day activities and development of the Club’s entire Football Operations including scouting, recruitment, analysis, sports science and medical. This has involved a wholesale building and modernisation of football activities to make them fit for purpose in the Championship following an 11 year absence.

Ross also supported Academy Manager Mark Lillis in achieving Academy category two status whilst working closely with Mark to drive the Academy in its development at PPG Canalside.

He will oversee the transitional period at the Club during the remainder of the season.

The Club will issue an update in due course regarding its future plans for its Football Operations.
