Rachael Lakey, Education Manager at The Zone, commented ahead of the Huddersfield Town Futsal Scholarship opening evening and recruitment for 2015/16:

“What a year! We’ve enjoyed success both on the playing field and within our classrooms. Our current Scholars are thriving; developing their knowledge and understanding at an outstanding rate. We’re really proud of their achievements and we are looking forward to another year of the same as they progress into Year 2.

“We have been working closely with Secondary Schools and coaches from Under 16’s Clubs with the calibre of students being given conditional offers for September being very impressive. We have only 10 places left for both BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 so our final open evening of the year is expected to be a busy one.

“It’s still not too late for any Year 11s who are passionate about playing football/futsal and want to study sports, to give us a call and book on to the open evening.

“The evening itself is very informative and allows both parents and potential Scholars to gain a full insight into this exciting opportunity.”
