GUAH SURVEY UPDATE

24 June 2015

Next steps after fans’ feedback

- Second survey on Town's 2015/16 match day programme
- Fans asked for opinion on the format of GUAH
- Votes needed before 5pm on Friday

Huddersfield Town fans gave their opinion on the 2015/16 edition of ‘Give Us An H’, the Club’s official match day magazine, in great numbers last week via an online survey.

The response to the GUAH survey was the second largest to any since the start of the ‘All Together Town’ initiative.

In terms of price, 54% of the 600 respondents - the highest percentage – indicated that they don’t buy the programme due to its price, but equally 56% indicated they are happy to pay £3 for a match day programme, with 33% indicating £2 is their preferred price.

A significant number of the comments given at the end of the survey indicated that a section of supporters would prefer a cheaper programme of smaller physical size and pagination, whereas others were happier with the 2013/14 sized format.

Collectability was really important to buyers.

In terms of content, interviews and information on the First Team came out strongly on top, with news from the Academy, news from around the Sky Bet Championship, general football articles and more statistics following in order. The message was clear; the programme is seen as for football, not off the field content.

The kids’ section also received almost wholly positive feedback (98% average and above) and will remain.

Having collated the results, the Club now asks supporters about options for the format and content of the programme in the coming season.

As has already been reported, the 2015/16 programme will revert to a more traditional format after the newspaper format last term.

As a result, the Club is presenting two possible options for the 2015/16 season based on fans’ feedback.

In the case of either option following feedback, the Club plans to replicate some of the most iconic, collectable retro styles of the Huddersfield Town match day programme from throughout its 107 year history – with a different design from different decades for different games!

The majority of fans indicated that they were happy with the number of adverts in the programme, so the percentage of ads in the two options has remained at the 33% from the last programme in the 2013/14 season.

Option A, a smaller, £2, A5 edition, caters for those supporters who told the Club they wanted a smaller programme that can fit in their pocket thanks to the physical size and lower pagination.

Option B caters for those fans who are willing to pay £3 and would like an edition closer to the 2013/14 version of GUAH; full details of both options are below.

All this is aimed at working together with fans to provide a programme that supporters want and buy, so thanks for your contribution!

We’re now asking supporters their views on the two options for the 2015/16 programme by clicking HERE to cast their vote for option A or B before 5pm on Friday 26 June.
